Is Disneyland Paris fun? Yes, for sure! I had a lot of fun and in fact, we stayed 2 nights there! I know it should crazy, but I grew up with Disney stories and movies, I would love to make the most out of it!
In this post, I provide the most important information for you by answering the most frequently asked questions for Disneyland Paris, especially if you visit Disney Paris for the first time. So, here we go!
Is it worthy to visit Disneyland Paris?
Many people say Disneyland Paris is the least fun of all Disneyland Park. I have never been to all Disney Parks, but I still had a lot of fun at Disneyland Paris! Why? If you compare with other Disneyland Parks, Disneyland Paris has the least amount of people and you DO NOT have to wait in line for that long!
I have been to Tokyo Disneyland, it was great and I loved their souvenirs, parades and etc. In addition, you can fully enjoy Disney vibe there, but you have wait hours in line. For Disneyland Paris, 1 HOUR MAX and if you make the most out of FAST PASS, then you do not need to wait that long at all! Moreover, it is easier to take pictures with Disney Characters!
Disney Group has invested A LOT of money in Disney Paris since 2018. When I was in the park October 2019, there were working on new attractions!
When can I get into the park? What is the timing for parade and fireworks?
There are 2 parks in Disneyland Paris: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studio Park.
Disneyland Park is setup like a Magic Kingdom and the famous Sleeping Beauty Castle is right here! Moreover, Micky Mouse and other Disney characters are waiting for you!
Walt Disney Studio Park
Walt Disney Studio Park is where you find Disney show attractions! Highly recommend you take Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic! It was super cool!
Each park has their own opening and closing time, but Walt Disney Studio Park is closed earlier. In addition, park hour is also based on the season. Click below for office Park Hour:
Highly recommend to visit Disneyland Paris on the weekday instead of weekend. If you can only go on the weekend, it is more crowded on Saturday than Sunday.
In you prefer to visit in Summer time, strongly advice you to visit in June, September or early October, so you get cheaper rates and the park is less crowded.
If you are the guest from one of Disney Partner Hotels, you are entitled to access to the park before the official open time. This is a BIG BONUS to Disney hotel guests!
We stayed at one of Disney Partner Hotels and of course we enjoyed Magic Hour. It was early October and only a few people inside the park! No need to wait in line for popular attractions. If you fully utilize the magic hour, you can try all the popular attractions! In addition, I also took a few pictures with Disney Characters!
Download Disneylan Paris App on your phone!
In the app, it tells you the time for live show, parade, firework and where you can meet Disney Characters!
Any tips for visiting at Disneyland Paris?
Bring your stroller!
If you travel with kids, it is best to bring your stroller. You can easily spend your day at Disneyland Paris walking around!
Bring Refillable Water Bottle!
Water is important during your stay at Disneyland! Please bring refillable water bottle, so you save money and good for the environment. You can easily refill your bottles at the cafe in the parks.
Do not rush to souvenir shops!
Many people or kids would first visit souvenir shops when they just arrived! Trust me, that kills a lot of precious time and you will have a plenty of time to shop around!
My strategy is: visit souvenir shop only when I am tired or during my break! Plus, I buy souvenirs before I leave, so I have plenty of time to think what I want/like, and only buy the things I really want.
As a big Disney fan, it is easy to buy a lot of souvenirs! Calm down and think what you really want!
Check weather forecast before you go!
If it is not summer, be sure to check the weather forecast! If needed, please bring raincoat or umbrella with you!

You can also buy tickets via official Disneyland Paris website, but it’s won’t be cheaper. However, if you decide to stay at one of Disney Partner Hotels, strongly advice you to book on Hotel website to get the best package price!
How many days should I stay?
It really depends on your travel style!
Some people like to walk fast and have a busy day at the theme park, but some people take to enjoy their time and see the little detail!
If you come with kids, I advise you to spend at least 2 days at the park. By doing so, you can take your time with the kids at the park. If you are young and energetic, 1 day is enough to visit 80% of the park. However, you most likely miss the detail at Disneyland Paris.
Is it worthy to stay at Disney Hotel?
There are 6 Disney Hotels at Disney Park, but only Disneyland Hotel is at the entrance to Disneyland Park. The rest are in Disney Village Area.
Below is the list of Disney Hotels:
- Disneyland Hotel (5 star): less than 5 minutes walk to the park.
- Disney’s Hotel New York (4 star): 10 minutes walk to the park; Hotel design is inspired by Marvel
- Disney’s Newport Bay Club (4 star): 15 minutes walk to the park; right next to the beautiful lake, nice view!
- Disney’s Sequoia Lodge: 15 minutes walk to the park; Hotel design is inspired by Bambi. We stayed here!
- Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne: 20 minutes walk to the park; Hotel is inspired by Woody from Toy Story.
- Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe: 20 minutes walk to the park; Hotel is inspired by Cars.
Disneyland Hotel is the most expensive one of all, but has the best location.
In general, Disney Partner Hotel is also not cheap, but you can enjoy Disney Vibe there and make your trip even more fun and unforgettable!
We stayed at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge for 2 nights. Why? I am a big Disney fan and we would only visit Disneyland Park only once or twice in my life, so I want to make it the best memory ever!
Should I visit both Disney Park and Walt Disney Studio Park?
Definitely! They look similar, but very differnt!
Walk Disney Studio Park: strongly recommend you take Studio Tram Tour! It is so cool! In addition, you have to visit Ratatouille section where they made you feel like you are in the movie scenes from Ratatouille!
Disney Park: offers many exciting roller coaster ride! Also, attractions for kids! I like Disney Park the most, they maintain the park very well, it made you feel like you are in a wonderland!

Any tips for food inside the park?
Bring your own food if you are on a budget!
In average, EUR 15 per person if you dine at one of the restaurants inside the park. Moreover, you need to wait in line for a LONG time if it is around the lunch and dinner time!
We did not expect that we would spend that much money on food alone! However, we recommend you visit Restaurant Hakunama Matata inspired by Lion King and Fuente Del Oro Restaurante inspired by Coco’s. The atmosphere of these two restaurants are extremely good. I was very happy when I ate there as I am a big fan of those two movies!
How about food outside the park?
If you are thinking: the food is expensive only inside the park. Then, you are WRONG!
Outside the park, it is Disney Village! They are also expensive! Basically, the whole strategy is to make you spend a lot of money. You can find McDonald, Vapiano at Disney Village, but they are more expensive than anywhere else!
